Offered here is a classic Colt Huntsman semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, featuring the desirable 5-inch barrel, factory checkered walnut grips, and the original Colt factory box. This example is in excellent overall condition, showing only light handling marks and a clean, sharp bore.
The Colt Huntsman was introduced in the mid-1950s as a more budget-friendly sibling to the famous Colt Woodsman line, built on the same basic platform and derived from John Browning’s design. The Huntsman retains the smooth trigger, fine ergonomics, and reliable blowback operation of its Woodsman predecessor, but with simplified fixed sights and a more economical configuration. Production continued into the 1970s, and these pistols now enjoy strong collector interest.
This pistol’s action cycles smoothly, the trigger is crisp, and the walnut grips remain sharp and attractive. The original Colt factory box adds significant collector appeal and makes this an excellent example of a clean vintage Colt rimfire.
