Description:
FN Custom Shop C2 Cheverny grade Superposed  B25 12 gauge O/U originally sold in England with Birmingham proofmark and chambered for 2 3/4" ammunition. This fine Custom Shop offering has the full PG buttstock with teardrops ( only found on Custom Shop guns)and tulip style forend of very highly figured French walnut with dimensions of 14 1/2" LOP from rear mechanical trigger ( introduced in 1970's) to a Soft KickEz pad, 1 1/2" comb, 2 1/2" heel with 3/8" cast off for a right handed shooter. There is one small chip at rear of forend, but wood is very solid. It has the later silver soldered Broadway type rib introduced in the 1970's to be more durable than the previous soft soldered type which quite often popped loose, usually on the rear. It has the 27 1/2" European length barrels with no choke designations on rear. It has the C2 Cheverny European engraving pattern with dogs,  birds and scroll. This grade retailed at $2500 in 1976 when the Midas grade was $2650 in the U.S. This particular gun was retailed in England, probably by F. J. Wiseman in Birmingham, where Wiseman fitted the lower barrel with their proprietary 'Chokemaster' choke tubes in 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 choke constrictions. The upper barrel has a fixed choke of modified from FN. S/N is 58200S76, which actually is from 1977. Engraving is very sharp and signed by L. Campo on satin receiver. Bores are excellent and the gun is fitted in a leather trunk case. $3,395.00 OBO
