A lot of speculation surrounds these known copies of Sharps Model 1853 slant breech rifles. Some believe they were built completely in Nepal, others believe the frames were built by Sharps, purchased after the American Civil War, eventually finding their way to Nepal and completed into functioning rifles. Others believe they were made by D.C. Hodgkins & Sons in Macon Georgia during the American Civil War, and are authentic Confederate used rifles. my  belief is these these guns are of Nepalese origin . CONDITION: Good with a grey brown patina overall. Wood is sound. Action functions properly./  markings  under  rear  sight/  bore  shiney  with  good  rifling
