I am an FFL Dealer in Connecticut, as well as a collector. The business name, Warthog Arms, is derived from my Air Force service as an avionic tech on A-10 Thunderbolts (also known as the Warthog). I always strive to go the extra mile to ensure a very satisfying transaction and have an established, trustworthy reputation. I also use GB for listings so if you would like to view my feedback, you can look me up in Advanced Search under Warthog-Arms. My current rating there is A+(160). Description: For your consideration is a Mauser C96 “Broomhandle” semi-automatic pistol. It is chambered for .30 Mauser (7.63x25mm) with a 10-round capacity and a 5.5” barrel. Serial number 175937 indicates this pistol was manufactured circa 1914, making it a Pre-Wartime Commercial model. This pistol retains nearly all its original bluing. I would estimate the finish as 95+%; there is minor finish loss and pitting in the floorplate area. The fire-blued small parts are still brilliant. Proof marks are correct and legible. It has the original lanyard ring and rear sight. All numbers match on pistol with a full serial number or last few digits on bolt, bolt stop, hammer, subframe and back of frame. Disassembly shows matching numbers including both grips, floor plate, disconnector, and bolt locking block. Both grips have matching numbers, 31 sharp grooves, and are in excellent condition with virtually no wear. The bore is also excellent, mirror bright with sharp rifling and no pitting. Included is a genuine period-correct shoulder stock, serial number 581 (non-matching). There are epoxy repairs in the attachment iron area, but it still mounts and holds the pistol well. The hardware is in great condition. Also included is a stripper clip, no bullets. Functions perfectly as designed. I did not fire this pistol but cycled 10 rounds through it to test chambering/extraction with no issues.
