***We DO NOT know what caliber this is. The customer we purchased it from said it is an 8mm Mauser, which is how we listed it. Most Argentinian 1891 Mausers were chambered in 7.65mm Mauser (ARG). We are confident it is not the latter caliber. The caliber of this firearm needs to be verified by a professional gunsmith before firing.
Overall good condition. The wood stock is in good condition with one scuff on the forearm and only minor scratches. The metal may have been re-blued. There is pitting on the barrel, and it looks like it was blued over. The metal strap at the front of the forearm is missing and the sling base on the bottom rear of the stock is missing. The action is smooth; the bore looks good and the serial numbers on the magazine match the rifle. A makeshift picatinny scope rail has been added.
