Offered here is a beautifully maintained Charles Daly Hawken .50 caliber percussion rifle, featuring a 28” octagon barrel, traditional sidelock action, and desirable double-set trigger system. This rifle is in excellent overall condition, showing only minimal handling marks and a clean, well-preserved finish throughout.
This model follows the classic Rocky Mountain Hawken pattern, complete with brass furniture, an English straight grip stock, and a 13½” length of pull. The barrel retains strong bluing and crisp rifling. The rifle is fitted with a front blade sight and an adjustable rear notch sight, making it well suited for both hunting and traditional blackpowder shooting.
The double-set triggers function perfectly—rear trigger sets a hair-light pull, while the front trigger fires in either set or unset mode. The lock snaps tightly with good hammer pressure and clean ignition.
