Description:
This is a great example of a rare French M1874M Navy revolver, made in 1882. Only about 1100 were made in total for French Navy and Private Naval Officer Purchases. All of the Naval revolvers had a serial number without a letter prefix.
This particular gun is nickeled, indicating a private officer purchase. The condition of the finish is excellent with minor flaking of the nickel in spots. The gun is all matching, including the screws, and has excellent bore and grips. All the markings and proof marks are crisp.
These rare guns are almost impossible to find in any condition and would make a great addition to a military revolver collection.
