From my personal collection of many years, I offer this 1921 Remington Model 8 Trials Rifle in original 25 Caliber Remington, although the serial number is of 1923 vintage. This was a complete custom build by CBR, at the time. Each and every detail is to exacting specifications. The wood stocks are high end walnut custom built by CBR as are the correct front sight, correct barrel band, 1 1/4" custom built Military Whelen Leather Sling & custom milled Lyman Model 48 micrometer receiver sight that had to be milled to the Model 8 receiver. Even the rear sight holes have been filled with brazing as were the originals. CBR always paid attention to details making them as humanly perfect as can be. The bore is super condition and a tack driver. CBR chose this particular rifle because of its original excellent original condition. I was fortunate to aquire it for my collection at the time. The last actual Trials rifle went on years ago and condition was excellent as was the winningat near $12,500. For any high end collector wishing to add a museum quality custom built Trials rifle, this is your chance! There were only 12 original Trials rifles known in existance from the original 25 built by Remington. This is an all matching serial number rifle # 47719. Original serial numbers started in the mid to upper 45,000 range. I use heavy duty rifle boxes and thoroughly encase the rifle in a gun sock and bubble wrap to take up all box voids.
