Description:
James Purdey antique falling block single shot rifle chambered for .450 BP Express. Made in 1877 with a 27 3/4" long barrel featuring a blade front sight and a rear sight with one standing and one folding leaf.
Very fine bore. 14 1/4" length of pull over an original steel butt plate. Rifle weighs 7 lbs 13 oz.
Some time in the last 150 years the furniture on this rifle was "freshened". And perhaps the metal has been as well...not certain.
