This is a 1944-dated Izhevsk Arsenal M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbine, featuring its classic side-folding permanently attached bayonet and hardwood stock. Receiver markings are crisp, showing the Izhevsk arrow-in-triangle and correct wartime stamps. Import mark reads RCI WOBURN, MA – RUSSIAN M44 7.62x54R with serial 001721.
Bolt, receiver, and magazine floorplate all show the same serial range AA618, appearing matching. Metal finish shows honest wear consistent with wartime rifles, with patina on the bolt body and expected handling marks on barrel bands and bayonet housing. The stock has been refinished and has a glossy lacquered appearance.
The rifle retains its original folding spike bayonet, cleaning rod, hooded front sight, and adjustable rear tangent sight graduated out to 1000m.
C&R eligible. A solid example of a WWII-era carbine with desirable 1944 Izhevsk markings.
