Manufactured in 1974. The Browning BAR Grade II is one of Browning's semi-auto masterpieces, receiving a significant upgrade from the first gen model with a more robust receiver, better ergonomics, improved feeding system, and upgraded trigger. This engraved model depicts a bull elk and pronghorn on both respective sides of the receiver, while the rifle has been given an attractive blued finish to the metal and varnished American walnut furniture. Despite its beauty, the rifle is fully prepared for rugged big game hunting, with a 22" barrel, full-length of 43", and weight of 6 lbs, making it surprisingly lightweight. Capacity is traditional 4+1, which are reloaded in the BAR's unique internal latch magazine. Affixed to the rifle are 1" Leupold medium-set scope rings, however, the rifle also has integrated iron sights. The condition of the rifle is practically flawless, with a small scratch on the buttstock and minor patina just below the action, but otherwise the finish is untouched. No extras are included.
