Description:
This is a model 1895 Nagant revolver that was made in 1900 and factory reworked to 22 cal in 1936 (two digit date on the right side of the frame next to the new serial number that matches the cylinder number) The gun is all original, non import and was never refinished. Both the barrel and cylinder were not sleeved but factory machined to 22 cal specs( see pics). There was only a few thousand that got factory reworked like this one and they all but disappeared in the last 10 years. I couldnt find any currently for sale or any that were sold in the last few years. The gun has excellent bore and action, it works in both da and sa, surprisingly, the gas seal function still works. These were known to have been used by NKVD for narcotics operation, as well as executions. Contrary to popular opinion, tens of thousands of people who were executed in Stalins prisons were not shot by firing squads but quitely shot in the back of the head with a 22 lr Nagant. CR is aceptable for this gun.
