Looking for an AR that can really reach out and touch something? Maybe a new hog gun? Something for bigger game? Maybe just something to try out some long distance target shooting? We’ve got one on consignment that you should take a look at. By the way, have you seen what these cost when new? Yikes!
Our LAR-8 (serial US108217) is chambered for 7.62 NATO and has a 16 barrel with a 1:10 twist. It has a UTG Pro quadrail handguard that gives you plenty of places to attach grips, bipods, lasers . . . you name it. However you want to customize your rifle.
You’ll also find a dust cover, forward assist, ambi mag release, ambi bolt release, Rock River Arms multi-position stock, 3 prong flash hider and a Rock River Arms rubberized pistol grip..
The trigger in this rifle has a great feel. We don’t know if this is an aftermarket upgraded trigger but it’s definitely not mil spec. The trigger is very light and predictable. Just very nice.
Bore on the rifle is clean, the barrel is bright and the rifling looks crisp and strong. The Quad Rail is in Excellent condition. The barrel is Good-Very Good and we may be grading that a bit harder than we should. There is a small amount of finish loss. The grip and stock are in Very Good condition. They show some signs of use but nothing major. The receiver has some scuffs, primarily on the left side but we’d still rate it as Good-Very Good.
Already mounted on the rifle is a Vortex Crossfire 8-32x50 scope. It’s mounted in a Burris PEPR mount. The outside does have some scuffing on the right side but is still a very nice looking scope. The glass and reticle are clear. The focus and magnification adjustments work as they should. We sell a lot of Vortex products in the shop. The Crossfire is not a high end line but it’s a good quality product and having it already mounted on the rifle is a very nice value add.
If you’ve been looking at rifles in the AR-10 platform, you already know that they can get pricey in a big hurry. Checking out this one, saving more than a few bucks and going home with a quality rifle at a reasonable price may be just what you’re after!
