This Colt MKIII Trooper model was manufactured in 1976.
It‚s a shooter but needs some love. It was obviously a beautiful weapon at one point.
The value of this firearm is that it‚s a \"classic\" .357 mag Colt. Mechanically, it is working great. We have not fired it, but the timing of the cylinder seems in tune, the bore is clean, and the action is smooth.
It appears as though someone tried to re-blue it but did not know what they were doing. It‚s a poor-quality bluing, including over spill to the grips. (Firearm is blued underneath the grips as well).
There is pitting on the barrel and cylinder that has been covered with the bluing. The grips are in good shape except the emblems and the bottom of one grip needs refinished.
