This is a Smith & Wesson model 10-9 revolver chambered in .38 special. It‚s likley from the late 80‚s or early 90‚s.
The grip is not original, it has a Bianchi Gun Leather polymer grip that shrouds the hammer. The gun is black and the barrel stainless. I don‚t know why this would be. Perhaps the barrel was replaced. Overall condition is good. The black finish shas worn off on some parts of the metal. The action is tight and the cylinder timing is in sync.
In front of the trigger guard, it is stamped \"2108 CAI Georgia VT. 38 SPL\". My best guess is this indicates this was part of a \"police turn in\" that would have been purchased by Century Arms Inc and redistributed to the public.
