Description: One of the most easily-recognizable pistols of the 20th Century, the Beretta 92FS has solidified itself as one of the greatest semi-auto handguns ever designed. The iconic pistol's profile is highlighted by its exposed barrel and protruding muzzle. The hammer-fired pistol utilizes a double/single-action operation with an extremely safe ambidextrous manual safety/decocker mechanism mounted on the slide which actually rotates a firing pin extension out of the way of the hammer when decocked and placed on safe. The exposed barrel allows for a massive ejection port which aids in reliability even at high round counts and with grime built up in the action—a quality which no doubt aided in the 92FS's adoption as the M9 military pistol. The pistol features black checkered plastic grip panels and serrations on the front and back straps. The barrel measures 5" long and is chrome-lined for longevity and easier maintenance. The 92FS is chambered in 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger) and the original magazines hold up to 15 cartridges. The sights consist of a pair of fixed white 3-dot sights. This example is an 2010 Italian-made unit, as evidenced by the straight grip screws, slanted dust cover, and serial printed on the frame, slide, and barrel. Included with the gun are the original blue hard plastic case and three OEM 15-round magazines. The pistol is in very good condition and operates flawlessly and smoothly. The bore is in good, clean condition. Cosmetically, the front and back straps do have some marring to them and have been painted over. The barrel has some surface rust buildup on the top, and the slide has some surface rust on the rear slide serrations. Otherwise, this is a great shooting-grade example of an Italian classic. 9mm Parabellum Price: $549.99 Manufacturer: 05/13/2010 Chambers: 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger/NATO/9x19mm) Metal Condition: Good Bore Condition: Very good Barrels: 5" chrome-lined Triggers: Double/single-action Butt Pad: Checkered black plastic grips Weight: 2 lbs Sights: Fixed white 3-dot sights Item Location: Kearney, NE |
