Overall Condition:
Overall the condition is fine+ retaining 97% + of its original blue and case coloring with strong ejectors and a tight action. Out of sight there is some slight dulling on the right side of the base of the receiver where "Abbiatico & Salvinelli" is engraved as well as some slight dulling around the right firing pin channel as noted in the photos. The bores are “as new” and the barrels remain tight on face and ring very well. Lockup is extremely tight with the lever still leaning toward the 5 oclock position. The wood at 99%, and checkering is 100%. This shotgun is outfitted with a rubber "Kickeez" buttpad that is fit extremely well to the butt.
Includes a very fine "Nizzoli" hand crafted leather trunk case with accessories.
Stock: The buttstock has gorgous grain with a classic English straight-hand grip that matches in color and figure with its splinter forend. Wood to metal fit is perfect. This particular shotgun has been fit with a "Kickeez" buttpad.
The hand checkering is wrapping around the forearm with a diamond field design is in beautiful crisp condition accenting the gold inlaid crest on the underside of the forearm.
Engraving: The action has a bright case color finish with a traditional intricate small scroll pattern engraving on the receiver, tang and trigger guard. Engraved by Italian Master Engraver Gian Marco Sabatti, marked "Sabatti G Marci Inc. on bottom of receiver near trigger guard as noted in the last photo.
Inscriptons: The inscription, “Abbiatico & Salvinelli"” is very small on the topside of the left barrel.
Hidden from view, on the bottom side of the frame is marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli, FINITO with a star above, "PSF" with two stars above, A&S, "410" and serial number "437".
On the bottom side of the barrel near the breech on the lugis stamped with first names of craftsmen involved in production of these fine guns, including Mario (Abbiatico) and Remo (Salvinelli), along with Dante, Tony, Gian, and Poli.
On the underside of the barrels on the left barrel is marked "CAM.76" along with 10,6 and two stars indicating Improved Modified or 3/4 Choke , on the right barrel is marked "KG1 110" "Joe Bojalad - Pittsburgh" 10,6 with 4 stars indicating Improved Cylinder or 1/4 Choke.
