Desirable 44WCF caliber Winchester Model 1892 made in 1911 with typical saddle ring features: 20" round barrel with pinned blade post front sight and carbine ladder rear sight, full magazine, plain trigger, blued and case hardened finish, stocks are gumwood.
CONDITION: Barrel retains 80% fine aged blue with a small area of cleaned surface pitting on the left side; magazine tube 85% brighter blue drifting to plum; hammer and lever retain 10% bright case colors in the protected areas, otherwise have drifted to a smoky nickel-silver; receiver and butt plate have flaked to a spotty patina; nice saddle ring shadow indicates no refinish. Action is smooth with a properly working half cock safety. Bore is an 8.5 of 10, bright and shiny with a few light spots of oxidation from black powder, nothing horrible. Stocks show typical nicks and scratches, fore arm solid, butt stock has a small, nicely repaired spot at toe. A good, honest 1892 SRC in a desirable caliber to add to your collection and have fun shooting.
