Description:
This is the Spanish Mauser Short Rifle with the 22 inch barrel in caliber 7x57. Receiver ring is unmarked and it is my understanding these were reworked during the Spanish Civil War. This particular example is excellent overall as the photos show - and with a good shootable bore. Not an easy gun to find - most you see are the 1916 models (with the 21.5 inch barrels) with the Spanish crests on the receiver.
