.69 caliber, 42" barrel. Markings on the barrel near the breech. Circle "P" Eagle "V", Tang dated 1832, on the barrel near these markings are F over a b 13. Lockplate marked Springfield 1832, then under the pan Eagle US. The pan, frizzen and frizzen spring and hammer marked with sub inspector "N". Walnut stock with a dried look. Some nicks and dings. Two faint cartouches on the left side, including stock makers initials and cartouche behind the triggerguard. All metal has been cleaned to bright with some staining evident. This musket is in original flint. Overall a very good example of a third model 1816 Flintlock Musket. Hammer functions strongly. Bore good condition. Overall, VG condition.
