Nice vintage Sako 308 Forester L- 57. This weapon is a extremely accurate rifle with a 2.5 x 8 Bausch & Lomb tapered to center crosshairs. Great set up and fine feature as the scope does not have any internal adjustments the adjustments to be made are through the scope mounts. Great idea !! The mounts are rock solid thus avoiding the problem of bumping the scope and causing a internal problem with the scope. NO JOKE HERE !!! More than once with this set up I've placed 3 shot groups inside a dime at 100 Yards. In 1957, Sako developed a longer action, the L57, subsequently renamed L579 Forester in 1959. This is a "medium action" was designed for the .308 and .243 Winchester cartridges. Also featuring original slip on rear prep sight that can be set for 100 Yards or 200 Yards
