Les Baer Ultimate Master 5 Inch – 45 ACP – 2012 Model – Excellent Condition
In the world of high end 1911 pistols, Les Baer is considered to be one of the very best manufacturers. Their pistols are well known for their accuracy and tight tolerances. The quality and craftmanship are consistently praised. In fact, after the break-in period, many users describe them as boringly reliable. That’s not a bad way to be known!
Our pistol is the Ultimate Master 5 Inch, one of the nicer pistols from Les Baer. It wears serial numberLB32789. Les Baer has confirmed the model and tells us that it was manufactured in 2012. They also confirmed the name of the original owner so we can verify that this is a one-owner pistol as we have received it from the owner’s estate.
Here’s a list of some of the great features on this pistol: lowered and flared ejection port, deluxe Commander hammer and sear, speed trigger, low mount adjustable rear sight, dovetail front sight, checkered cocobolo grips, extended ambi safety, front and rear serrations, full length recoil rod, checkered slide stop, beveled magwell and a steel frame. That is quite a list!
The slide, grips and frame on this pistol are in Excellent or better condition. The trigger is light and just fantastic! We know it’s a single action trigger but this one stands out above the other single action 1911s that we’ve shot. The bore is clean, the barrel is bright and the rifling looks to be strong. The slide is still fairly stiff so we’d guess that this pistol is still in the break in period, meaning that it likely has had few rounds shot through it.
Great brand, great model, great looking, great pistol. The only bad thing that we have to say is that you’ll have to come up with your own magazine as we did not receive one for this pistol from the estate. Seems like a small inconvenience for a pistol of this quality.
Purchase is for the pistol only. There is no magazine. No other item are included in the sale.
