Description:
Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Long-Tang chambered in .348 Winchester. The Model 71 was a slightly improved model 1886 and, with very few exceptions, only chambered in .348 Winchester. This rifle features a 24-inch tapered blued barrel, 2/3 tube magazine holding 4 cartridges, and a pistol grip stock. It has a hooded ramp bead front sight, filler in rear dovetail, and a peep rear sight. It has a checkered walnut forearm and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate and bases for Super Grade swivels. It was manufactured in 1936, the second year of production. The .348 was one of the most powerful, rimmed rounds ever used in a lever action rifle. The rifle has over 50% lightly worn blue showing carry and edge wear. Wood has worn checkering and original finish showing numerous scratches, marks, and dents. The action is sound, and it has a very good bore. No box. .348 Winchester
