Charter Arms Bulldog Pug .44 Special 2.5 inch 5 shot revolver 1990s vintage excellent condition.
This listing is for a 1990s Charter Arms Bulldog Pug chambered in .44 Special. This is the classic big bore snub nose revolver that made Charter Arms famous, offering serious stopping power in a compact carry package. This Bulldog Pug features a short barrel of approximately 2 inches, a five round cylinder, and a compact steel frame with fixed sights. The heavy barrel shroud and compact rubber grips give you better control over the .44 Special recoil while still keeping the gun easy to conceal and fast to draw.
Overall condition is excellent for its age. The finish shows only light handling and holster marks with no abuse or corrosion. Timing and lockup are solid, the cylinder indexes cleanly, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. Grips are in very good condition with plenty of texture left. This revolver has clearly been cared for rather than carried hard.
If you have been looking for a true big bore carry revolver that is still small enough to live on your hip, the Bulldog Pug is hard to beat. It makes an outstanding concealed carry piece, nightstand gun, or backup revolver for someone who wants more punch than a .38 in a similar size.
