Description
Up for sale is a 1916 Mosin-Nagant Model 1891, a genuine WWI-era Imperial Russian long rifle. This rifle is over a century old and remains in impressive condition for its age. These early long rifles are becoming harder to find, especially in complete and unmodified form. This rifle has markings indicating that it was rebarreled by Izhevsk and passed the accuarcy standards before leaving the factory. It was later caputered and used by the Austrians as denoted by the “M" marking on the stock.
Condition
Metal: Finish consistent with age. No major pitting. Receiver markings clear and crisp, the imperial markings have been removed.
Stock: Solid with expected dings and handling marks from service life. No cracks or repairs noted.
Bore: Bright and shiny with strong rifling and no pitting
Action: Bolt cycles smoothly. Safety functions as intended.
