Description:
Serial #1433585, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle has a 6-31 dated "SA" barrel on a 1933-made receiver with the metal retaining 92-95% of an arsenal-added parkerized finish that has faded at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the swept-handled bolt. Additionally, the floorplate has some thin plum-brown freckling on the exterior surface. The walnut handguard and A1 stock have some minor handling marks scattered about the reapplied military oil finish, with still visible Springfield cartouche on the left side ahead of the wrist, and an "RA-P" Raritan Arsenal rebuild stamp just behind. The rifle is also equipped with a period sheet metal front sight hood, and a Korean marked M1 canvas sling. This is a handsome arsenal reworked rifle, and is in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R;
