LOP 14" Serial Number: 161788 Vintages Firearms is pleased to offer the classic M1A. These rifles are derived from the American service rifle used between 1957 and 1964, prior to the adoption of the M16. The M14 and its variants, however, remain in service today with various branches of the U.S. Armed Forces in a designated marksman rifle (DMR) configuration. These civilian variants are chambered to fire both the spicier .308 WIN and the 7.62 NATO of the original M14. This M1A is in excellent overall condition, 99% parkerized blue on the barrel, trigger guard, and the receiver. It comes equipped with its original factory fiberglass stock, a feature no longer produced by Springfield Armory as the supply of surplus fiberglass M14 stocks have since dried up. This rifle is among the last to be issued with this type of stock. There is a slight loss of finish on the right lower edge of the heatshield. The iron sights are adjustable for windage and elevation providing you with a faithful fallback for closer targets or if your scope fails. Included in this package is an Arken Optics EPL-4 which comes already sighted on a picatinny rail mount, a period correct sling and two 10 round and three 20 round magazines. Everything you need to get started except the ammo! Vintage Firearms does have both .308 Winchester and 7.62×51 NATO in stock at an additional cost and ships separately, so please call to inquire.
