Description:
Offered here is an outstanding Browning Superposed Diana Grade .410, manufactured in 1976 (serial number 1730J6, 1976 = “J6” small?bore production). This example showcases everything collectors want in a true small?bore Diana: deep relief engraving, classic round?knob semi?pistol?grip stock, and superb wood figure throughout.

This .410 carries 26½-inch barrels chambered in 3”, choked Improved Cylinder and Modified (factory markings on the monobloc). It features a ventilated rib with a white front bead and white mid?rib bead, offering an ideal sight picture for upland work and nostalgic small?bore shooting.

The length of pull measures 14¼", with a drop at comb of 1½" and a drop at heel of 2 5/16". Cast is 1/8" off—ideal for a right-handed shooter. The shotgun weighs 7 lbs. 5 oz., giving it a satisfying, steady small?bore feel without being overly light. The classic round?knob grip and perfectly cut checkering give the gun the unmistakable Superposed handling profile.

The receiver is fully engraved in the Diana pattern—three?panel deep game scenes surrounded by tight Belgian scroll—executed to the high standard of FN’s master engravers. Metal finishes remain excellent, and the wood exhibits rich figure under a high-polish gloss finish.
