"Serial No. 7480, manufactured circa 1942–1945, 7.7x58mm, 25½"" round barrel. Bore is good, showing light frosting with strong rifling present. Serial numbers and part numbers are fully matching throughout, a desirable feature on Type 2 paratrooper rifles. The mum has been removed from the receiver, consistent with rifles surrendered at the end of the war and known to happen in the field. Stock shows light, honest handling impressions from field use, but remains solid with no cracks noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A clean, matching example of a scarce Japanese Type 2 paratrooper rifle.
