"Serial number I20042725. Made by factory 636 (the Jilin Diesel Engine Factory) in 1975, so this is NOT a commercial Chinese SKS - it is an original People's Liberation Army surplus Type 56 military carbine. The 20.5-inch barrel has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. The rifle is all-matching to include electro-penciled numbers on the gas piston & gas cylinder. The original receiver cover has been replaced with one that provides an optic's rail & there is a generic Chinese 4×28 telescopic sight mounted to it. A Ram-Line glass-filled polycarbonate Syntech stock & handguard have replaced the rifle's original wood furniture. Condition overall is excellent albeit sporterized. Comes with a commercial aftermarket muzzle brake/flash suppressor, commercial aftermarket bipod & a nylon sling.
