"Serial No. N3840, manufactured 1941, 7.62x54R, 26 ½"" round barrel. Bore is good, showing light frosting in the grooves with strong rifling remaining. Serial numbers are non-matching, and no import mark is present on the rifle—an increasingly desirable trait among SVT-40 collectors. Metal surfaces are beginning to turn to a dull patina, consistent with age and field service. The stock has been lightly refurbished at some point but retains an overall solid appearance. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A clean, honest example of an early-war SVT-40.
