Description:
Winchester Model 23 Grande Canadian side by side 20 bore ejector gun with 25 ½” barrels. The gun is choked improved cylinder and modified. Length of pull of 14 3/8” to a brown Winchester recoil pad.
Straight hand grip, mechanical single selective gold-plated trigger, auto safety, sculpted action, raised matted vent rib with a white front bead, fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forend and wrist with mullered borders. The gun is housed in maker’s case. Marked “GRANDE CANADIAN” on the top rib and the left barrel. The chambers are proofed and measure 3”.
Engraved with medium black leaf scroll and maple leaves. Relief engraved two gold maple leaves on the underside. Coin finished action and furniture. Exhibition grade walnut stock. In excellent overall condition. Both bluing on the barrels and the bores rate excellent. Crisp and clean checkering and the stock shows minor scratches compression marks. Mid-bead missing. Top lever remains right of center, barrels on face, and ejectors in time.
