Description:
The Ruger Vaquero is a classic single-action revolver modeled after the iconic Colt Single Action Army and built with modern engineering for reliability and safety. Chambered in .44-40 Winchester (WCF), it's a versatile cartridge historically famous for its use in both rifles and handguns in the Old West. This particular Vaquero has a blue 5 ½" barrel attached to a color case-hardened frame. The 6-round fluted cylinder is stainless steel, as are the grip frame and trigger guard. The grip panels are made of light-colored wood—probably maple—with a nice-looking grain and blonde gloss finish. It features Ruger's famous transfer bar safety system which allows safe carry with all six chambers loaded. This gun is in good shape overall. There is some finish wear and a few small nicks around the muzzle, but no damage to the bore. There is a very little bit of holster wear at the muzzle. The action is smooth, and the lockup is tight. The bore is clean and bright. It includes a soft zipper case, but no factory box or user manual. .44-40 Winchester
