Description:
This rifle is in very good overall condition, with decent amounts of original finish mixed with patina. It was never refinished, never electropencilled, not import marked. The gun has original matching stamped serial numbers on the receiver, bolt and trigger guard. Mag number is mismatched but not crossed out or electropencilled (good luck finding an original matching one, never even heard of such unicorns) Stock has been sporterized and features a rubber buttplate. An original steel buttplate is included with the gun, as well as front sight post (you need a special tool to mount it) and a cleaning rod release latch that needs to be installed once you take the barrel extension off first. I have way too many other projects in my collection, dont have time to bring it back to the original configuration. PRICE IS FIRM. The last SVT40 that I sold brought $3500 two years ago, it was also a matching bring back, much worse cosmetically but complete. At $2500 you have at least $ 1000 worth of room to play to bring it to arsenal specs, all you need is a lower stock. Insured shipping in the US is $ 75.00, CR is acceptable for this gun. I also have an original spare mag for sale at $ 300
