Description:
This is a 12 gauge Browning Auto-5 made in 1938. It has the original 30" full choked solid rib barrel with a gold bead at the end. It has the typical 4 shot magazine with the magazine cutoff, a checkered pistol grip stock and forend with a horn buttplate. The bluing is a beautiful deep rust blue. The barrel, forend and frame all have the same serial number, 199711. The bolt face shows that this gun has been shot very little and as a result the springs are all very strong. The 2-3/4" chambered bore is bright and shiny. The wood has nice color and figure and the stock and forend have no cracks, splits or gouges. Just some light handling marks. These guns were all hand engraved and hand checkered in Belgium.
