Description:
Holland & Holland rook rifle in .22 Hornet. Restored and sleeved (marked “Parke Rifled” on muzzle), serial 13651 (2x: barrel and tang) has a 26.1-inch tapering octagon barrel (.625-inch at muzzle flats, blade front sight, matted top flat, rear sight assembly with one fixed and two folding leafs, ejector). Features include a thumb safety, engraving, horn forend tip, wrap checkering, steel butt plate with widow's peak and a steel grip cap. OPTIC: A Fecker (serial 4334, unmarked magnification, post/crosswire reticle) rides in Fecker mounts. Optically sharp with good lenses, internals have a light clouding from loss of seal. Exterior finish is approximately 65 percent. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 6.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.3 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Barrel has trace side-to-side movement from face. Barrel blue is approximately 90 percent (lightly softened markings). Action has silvered with trace superficial tarnish. Guard blue is approximately 40 percent. Wood is approximately 90 percent. Mechanics operate properly. CASE: A generic Abercrombie & Fitch canvas case (key present) is included. NOTE: It is not known who performed the restoration and modifications on this rifle.The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,500 plus shipping.
