Description:
An exceptional Siamese Mauser - probably the best we have seen. Actually a type 45 that has been through the caliber upgrade (8x52R from 8x50R). Also shows the sight modification as well. No import marks ever on this rifle. Has the working spring loaded dust cover, etc. Actuallty a model 98 mauser type action as opposed to a type 99 Japanese. No doubt insisted upon by the Siamese government just post 1900. I doubt seriously if this rifle was ever issued.. Has about all the finish (wood and metal) with no detractions or issues. Has the one piece stock as opposed to the two piece. Also the long upper tang. I do not think we shall see another this nice.
