Description:
This beauty is completly martching, fully functiionable and of very low seial number 2011
It realy doesn't get much better than that. The company was founded around 1892.
Then Peter Finnegan acquired the company after signing a contract to supply 15,000 pistols.
Then Finnegan secured a contract with the Ames Sword Co. of Chicopee Mass to produce the 15,000 pistols.
The gun was initially shown at the Chicago World's Fair
This beauty with this very early with serial numbe 2011 was obviously part of the first run.
I has retained 99+ % of the original nickle finish.
The bore is super, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. Possibly with a whisp of scttered fros'
It is fully functional, inspite of the fact the hammer return spring is poorly designed an very prone to breaking.
Both metal sideplates and thin Gutta Percha grip panels are perfect and in tatct.
This was another problem in many cases, In order to keep the gun slim the grip retaining plates were held on by only two turns of the screw and were very prone to falling out.
This gun, again is all matching and fully functional.
Modestly priced for any collector who is looking for a real Brag About Collection Centerpiece
