Offered here is a very historic Burnside Fifth Model 1864 saddle ring carbine that came right of an estate of an 80 year collection, with period Civil War carvings in the buttstock that read “T.J. PAT” and “7th O V”. The collection notes indicate this to be the initials of Thomas J. Patterson of the 7th Ohio Cavalry Regiment.
