Description
Offered here is a Remington Model 31L Lightweight pump shotgun in 16 Gauge with a 28" Full-choke barrel. The Model 31L features an aluminum receiver that reduces weight while retaining the exceptionally smooth “ball-bearing” action that made the steel-framed Model 31 legendary.
The 16 gauge chambering strikes a perfect balance between the 12 and 20 gauge — a light field gun with excellent pattern density for pheasant, grouse, and trap work. The barrel is marked “16 GA FOR 2 ¾ OR SHORTER SHELLS” and “FULL .031”. The gun wears its factory walnut stock and grooved forend, still showing strong finish and tight fit.
Bluing is strong overall with light carry wear around the receiver and pump. The action is butter-smooth and functions perfectly. This example retains its original Remington logo hard buttplate and has not been modified or cut. A fine representation of the scarcer lightweight Model 31 variant.
