Description:
For your consideration, a sequential serialized set of William Evans Boxlock side-by-sides chambered in 16 Gauge. The French greyed receivers are embellished with acanthus scroll work. Features of both pieces include single, mechanical triggers, automatic safeties, ejectors, rolled trigger guards, and doll's head barrel extensions. Both guns are choked IM, left, and Cyl, right. The barrels bear British proofs. Stock dimensions of gun #1 are as follows: 14 1/2" LOP, 1 1/4" drop at comb, and 2 1/4" at heel with a slight cast-off. Those of gun #2 are 14 1/2" LOP, 1 1/8" drop at comb, and 2 1/8" at heel with a slight cast-off. These are sold as an indivisible set.
