Offered for sale is a rare and highly sought-after Remington Model 76 Apache Black lever-action rifle. Produced in limited numbers, the Apache Black variant is considered one of the more elusive Model 76 configurations, prized by both Remington collectors and enthusiasts of modern American lever-action designs. Approximately 1,600 Remington Nylon 76AB Apache Black rifles were made between 1962 and 1965. The total production for all Remington Nylon 76 models during that period was about 26,927 rifles. Mechanically, the rifle remains tight and functions reliably. The bore is clean with well-defined rifling, and all controls operate as intended. Cosmetically, the firearm shows its age but has never been polished, buffed, or cold blued. There is a hairline crack on both sides of the rifle under the metal cap that does not effect the rifles appearance or functionality, please see photos for picture of this defect.
