Guns Listing ID: 596533

Item: Mauser P38 – “byf 43" Production
Caliber: 9×19mm
Manufacturer: Mauser-Werke, Oberndorf
Production Year: 1943
Finish: Reblued

Description:
This example of the BYF 43 Mauser-produced P38 represents mid-war German manufacture during 1943. The slide is clearly marked “P.38 byf 43", and the frame displays the correct E/135 Waffenamt acceptance stamps, consistent with Mauser’s Oberndorf facility.

The pistol has been reblued, showing minimal wear but no corrosion or pitting. All primary serialized components—frame, slide, barrel, and locking block—match, which is an important factor for serious collectors of WWII sidearms.

The Bakelite grips are original Mauser production with sharp checkering, free from cracks, warping, or corner chips. Mechanically, the pistol functions properly, with a smooth double-action pull, crisp single-action break, and a correctly operating decocker.
