This John Oberlies of Dayton OH, Custom NRA Sporter in .30-06 remains in Excellent Condition.John Oberlies was a respected stockmaker/ gunsmith out of Dayton Ohio who was active in the 30-40's, he was known for his inlays of silver acorns,oak leaves as well as his use of ivory at the end of grip caps and forends, this example has both. It has star gauged barrel dated 3-27 and a Excellent bore. It has a Lyman 48 rear sight and NM front. There are a few small handing marks present but no major defects present.
