Superb Rare Winchester Model 70 Custom Heavy Bench Rifle w/Scope
Offered her for sale and just acquired along with a fine collection fine of heavy benchrest target rifles is this fine Winchester Model 70 target rifle custom crafted by well known gunsmith and custom rifle maker Richard Ruggeiro of Connecticut. Serial number G2135392 the original action was made in the mid to late 1990s. The custom barrel heavy target barrel was chambered for the .25- G3 proprietary wildcat cartridge. The 30” barrel was set into a very colorful laminated stock and mounted with an equally fine Weaver 36X scope. It has not seen a great deal of use and is in excellent condition.
The .25-G3 cartridge was derived from a 6MM BR or ,30BR case. Along with the rifle and scope are included a set of dies plus the “reamer” to use on the cases to make the cartridge. This is likely a very desirable custom bench rifle with a wildcat chamber something only a small number of shooters would have. Its value will be influenced by the quality of Ruggeiro’s gunsmithing.
The rifle weighs in at approximately 22 lbs so this to be taken in consideration as far as shipping is concerned and dependent upon the geographical location of the buyer. Most likely we will ship in a hard case which will be part of the shipping cost as well.
