Here we have a cowboy's 5-shooter in 44 caliber. See last photo for info article on these revolvers of the Old West which will be included. I.J. and H. R. made these lower price revolvers to fit rhe needs of those who could not afford a Colt ,or S & W in a large caliber.This piece would rate in about antique fine to excellent condition.The mechanics are great,almost all nickel with usual light scratches,grips great ( l. grip small corner repair ), and bore has all rifling with light pitting throughout because of black powder usage. The AMERICAN BULL DOG marking on barrel top are factory. However I am not sure of PAT. 1885 on top strap,555 on corner of frame,and .41S on left side of barrel. Especially the caliber markings as one photo clearly shows it chambers .44 Webley cartridge as it should. At least one cold restamp a 4 on the 1 of .41S .I sell my antique gun for display and collecting.If intending to use,one must have a gunsmith check for safety and proper load.
