Made in the late 1890s with Damascus barrels , now 24” tubes, shortened at one time. Henry rifling with great bores and chambers . Interesting sights with a one
standing diamond inlaid and three folding; Silver front bead and dove tailed flip up moon sight; Browning and solder in excellent condition; Strong ejectors.
Action is tight with an older professional rejoint. Good trigger pulls , auto safety, interceptor sears. Case color harden receiver with 75 % tight scroll engraving.
Weight is 9# 9 oz , LOP is 14 1/8” over a 1” Silvers pad.
Stock is strong and in great condition both strucuraly and cosmetically.
Worth mentioning that it points beautifully for me with 1 7/8”- 2 5/8” and a 1/4” cast off.
In the original case with a new interior.
With the proper loading this rifle would shine in Africa as well today as it did 125 years ago.
