Description:
General George S. Patton once called the M1 Garand " The greatest battle implement ever devised", and very few people can argue with this assessment. This Example, with a receiver made in 1955, is in very good to excellent overall condition. The barrel, made in 1956, is dated correctly to most likely be the original barrel, and the stock also has present Cartouches, the only thing missing from this rifle is the cleaning kit. It must be noted, that the only flaw found on this rifle is that the gas tube / front sight block is loose in its keyway, this must be tightened by peening the bottom keyway grooves then reinstalling the gas tube /front sight block. Neglecting to do this will not greatly affect function, but will cause increased wear over time. Barrel condition is very good to excellent, with sharp rifling.
