Smith & Wesson New Departure top-break revolver. Unknown .32 caliber. This is a Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 1st Model revolver in .32. This nickel-plated revolver was officially called "The New Departure", and nick-named the "Lemon Squeezer." It was made from 1888-1902, and features a 3" barrel, a five-shot cylinder, a grip safety, push button break top design with an automatic ejector, double action only operation, and checkered grips. The numbers on the frame and cylinder match. This revolver is in good condition with discoloration of the nickle finish. The grips are in excellent shape with no cracks or chips.
