This is an Original Rare British Martini Henry MK1 Checkered Buttplate with no original finish in very good condition. This shows some wear and light oxidation in places near the bottom. This example is British proof marked and Broad-arrow marked. "Crown over E over 42". This is something you do not see often. Please see photo's for fine detail.;
